It’s summertime in Jupiter Springs, and for Dickey Newton and Plunger, that means it’s time once again for Owl Camp. After being assigned their cabin, the two best friends meet their bunkmates, who they regale with marshmallow fluff and tales of the legendary Owlbear. At suppertime, they meet yet another camper, a strange southern boy who immediately arouses their suspicions. When bedtime finally comes, fresh from sharing scary stories around the campfire, they realize something is wrong. Someone is missing.
